Gypsy Rose Flowers

P.S My life is pink

P.S My life is pink

Pink interruptions this week, floral little girl fun for Easter.

A Bloomsbury bud

A week of being Virginia and Vanessa inspired. Today, cleaning vases, falling in love with hand painted covers, planning a trip here with a fellow florist and in search of ceramic Easter bunnies for a bakery.

A rainy whimsical wednesday. Have a lovely one. xxx

Down a silk road

A flower friend declared she’d never touch silk flowers over a cuppa last week.

I know what she means about fake flowers but at a fun venue recently it was kind of exciting to be creating something that will last so much longer, spy on entire romances, watch as they peter out and roll with the next.

Tea was drunk – many pots.
A cheeky silk hydrangea came back to haunt me.
Dry Oasis had me sneezing.
My fear of heights as I installed a ceiling arrangement re-surfaced.
Tight laddering consequences ensued.
With 4ft urns Mabel was dearly missed.
Competing with the Cello man on Portobello, not funny.
and sssssh…I fell in love with a silk buttermilk peony.

Foxy music

This ridiculously tame fox has become a new resident on the towpath. Singing for its supper and hanging out in an I’m your pal way with all the cats.

In a previous incarnation I would have got you a dog basket, now its a water pistol and I feel bad.

Still, Monday munchkin you take a good piceroo.

These feet were made…

Bright young things

A week of birthday love, Dock kitchening, silk flowers in the rain, chasing naughty stray moggies and styling lovely private dining rooms. Fun.

Pretty things, poppies, ranuncs, guelder, lilac, foxgloves, peonies and porcelain.

Fashion and fritillaria

Last hours of girldom ticking by with flowers for a Burberry shoot starring the lovely snakeskin fritillaria.

With one left over for the wheelhouse this could also well be my last blog with well meaning but dicey photographie…but there will defintely be more pretty flower illustrating lark.

A Girls best friend

Swans are taking centre stage on the boat this week – with wellies dangling over the side of Anny – snapped beautifully by Timsky and blurrily by me, what’s not to love about my feathered friends eating stale digestive biccies?

And with a big birthday coming up bratty requests are in for diamonds, swans, a jazz band, a cornish escape, a day tripper, groovey cameras, a bedlington terrier, circus memorabilia, and a fun do up project… Oh, you know, simple things.

Wish me luck as this ancient chickadee says a goodbye and farewell to girldom. xxx

Case of fru

Tutu – Five gorgeous girls= 30m of dusky net… In a week of invites, Linda in Lille, just lovely, and after hanging out in posh vets I am unashamedly developing a serious crush on Louis Wain, great name…swoon for a cat portrait! xxx

Hedgehogs and hellebores

is for Harper, the hellebores appearing in our garden, a dearly loved hedgehog hibernating under the rowboat (do give to st tigs), and my now third copy of The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle by wonderful Beatrice.

A weekend of birthday meals, emergency trips to the vet with Arnold, towpath bonfire parties (sore sore head), searching for antique tutus for flower fairies… girly dances, a pirouetting tea lover and educating Harper in the art of dance. Super super sweet. Happy grass sowing mondays.xxx
