Knightsbridge nuptuals
21st August 2011

The day I was guarded on gardenia, nearly fell out of a window throwing confetti, Cary grant style ushers wore blooms and Mr C and I agreed on jasmine.
Oh and and squeak…the jour I also bugged the brilliant Nick Ray about flower photography.

Bloom, introduced to me by my eccentric old boss at Harper and Toms.
I so know this photography is going to make my own look pants but I don’t care.
Here’s Simon Proctor and his Liberty Child – seriously, what florist doesn’t obsess over floral fabric and a tuss de muss?
LOVE for a saturday

Today’s a getting back to work in a Christmas planning day way…garlands, Queens Park wanderings, the wiring of silks and cups of tea. Maybe a toastie.

Pip pip Mme Cholet
9th August 2011

A sad post. Our darling puss Mme Cholet sadly died while we were away getting married so although loved up, it was a sad journey home from France.

She ruled the towpath seeing off foxes, could oft be found paying respect in Kensal Green Cemetery, enjoyed escaping upstream with the coal boys, curled up amongst flower boxes in my cab, became a sister to Harper, rolled around in posey debris; stole foie gras, had a curious penchant for waxflower and woke you up with such a ferocious quack you’d be forgiven for thinking she was a goose.

Adventures were many and for all my life changing Joni Mitchell moments, she’s been here, her last, peacefully under a tree, another.
I think she’s being rather disapproving of that urn arrangement, (and you’re right Cho, it’s a funny shape)…but I’ll let that go.
Love, love, loved you.

Normandy rain
4th August 2011

So a bleak blog of late, but in short we left the flowers behind and ran off to France to marry amongst the charolais, sheep, trees, heart shaped cheeses and lovely people.
Memories of many friends larking about in heavenly Honfleur. I’ve trodden these cobbled streets a hundred times so it was great to see loved ones doing the same.
In no particular order, a favourite funfair, colourful carouseling, the one that got away and Carolines take on Normandy… good souly things for a leaky london boat.
