Flora and fauna

Today’s a green day. There may well have been others.

Baubles and boats

Christmas is going in a Miles Davis kind of blue direction and this year we’ll be based on our boat – so expect pretty wreaths from the wheelhouse being delivered in a festooned Mabel, a few seventees baubs and lots of twinkle.

Too soon to be thinking of Joyeux Noel and Glaedelig Jul? xxx

Little girls & lampshades

In no particular order, inspiration from beauvamp, Harper air guitaring at three months and rocking Christmas pressie fodder.

This week in flower land the wreaths commence…

Owl and the pussycats

Two of my favourites, Anthropologie escapades and twit twoose for a wednesday. xxx

Lanvin looks

Researching a job for a chic january bride this week I”ve been having Selby archive moments and a nosey in to the library of Jeanne Lanvin.

Applique, a gorgeous hardback, velvet roses and fashiony pastel moodboards – a flower girls heaven.

These are a few

Of my favourite things. Pom poms for Versace, autumn fayre for a fraulein and wheelbarrows of love.

This week more faded amour for a film set, creations for Luxury Travel friends and pints of petals for a gorgeous guiness.

Girl in the hood

I’ve been a Notting hill girl for some years now, for a while nestled in the heart, then in the middle and now canalside (all with faithful pussas by my side) and have seen changes aplenty.

Suzy Hoodless is one of my favourite hip locals who is creating heavenly houses and lucky me, I’ve had the chance to do instalations amongst some of her cool designs. Hers are wish list musts.

Take a looksie at her fab work…can we rock these looks in a french barn?

Petal pleasures

A mad dash week of work over and it’s time out time.

Floristry scissors lost – four pairs
Oasis toppling in to the canal – one box
Laurel deciding to go crunchy – two wraps
Couriers arriving during a downpour – 3
Feminine mummy hands ruined – 2

I have some days off with lovely Harper in which we will prettify, work on a project with Brissi, sort out baby jabs (ouch) and try and convince Arnold the cot’s not such a great idea. All to the tune of a goose loose on top of Anny and a whingey woodburner.

Petal pleasures for an October week, these are some of mine what are yours?

Flowers and films

This weekend we swapped flowers for fashion shoots, for film and The Woman in Black with a spec of victoriana for a well to do parlour.

So so much fun, cue roses, pepper flowers, all the rage floral pineaples and love lies bleeding. I’ve never been nervy about living next to a graveyard but researching the original definitely resulted in scary movie musings for a monday and a wizardly fascination for Gypsy Rose flowers from HP fans.

Guilding the lily

Today has involved a wonky wheeled shopping trolley full of pumpkins, hurtling Mabel around Chelsea, leaving Harper with her lovely Grandma, buying flowers I’ve never used before (burgandy fluffy giant blooms, more soonski ) and being soothed by paper urns of lovely in a fave shop window.

A gypsy rose flower girls dream jour no less x
