Blossoming Dearies
11th August 2010

Happy times on Hydrangea Hill in Greenwich. Gypsy Rose Flowers are in this months You and Your Wedding Vintage special…
Here’s to fond memories of a March wedding. A gorgeous couple – and a day full of giggles, cherry blossom, ranuncs, mason jars and fondant fancies.
More here.

Thyme stands still
8th August 2010

No news no news, but weekend views through our porthole are in no particular order… reds, cases being packed, tinkering on Annie, checking out old school Penguin, and comfort eating in an autumnal august to soulful Nick Drake.
Our clocks have stopped…do do come soon baby girl.

Fade to greys
4th August 2010

Pinks and beiges….
No gypsy baby news but crates, hessian, vintage schmintage and all things french have been a bit of a summer swansong this year…so thrilling to get a mention on this lovely interiors blog which features all things up my rue. Including a great post about Hennes homeware. Want everything here and here.
I do get asked, low slung fruit boxes with illusion in seedling pots have featured in a summer wedding, mine procured at Kempton but check this lovely site out for some too…
This week I’m baby and granny proofing the boat, pics coming up.

Started with a kiss
27th July 2010

…and a girl alone on a boat. Then the romantic mix tape.
I’m bloom free but indulging in bric a brac of the flower variety before our baby girl arrives. Apart from that and getting photography envy, it’s the cats and splashes of Chet, giggling at PG Wodehouse (“I say, I have two words for you, pip and off”) and radio 4. Rock and Roll.
More soon. In the meantime give O’s tunes a listen, really rather lovely.

A greenhouse for grandma
21st July 2010

That’ll be me and in my granilicious mode I’m peeved none of this belongs to me as its right up my street…this wouldn’t fit on the boat to be frank but this is something that makes me want to live in a twee hideaway distressing old furniture as I go around in a fine pair of trotters.
Super romantic brogue loving finds.
Is your world flowery today? Hope so …x
Petals, pips and parties
20th July 2010

A week of them. Mademoiselle has not arrived yet but we’re killing time with fun music, eating lots of cherries, lovely mentions, impromptu dinners with friends, gulping as prams arrive and getting drip fed cool french trailers. Bo temps.
This week larkspur, peonies and a very naughty puss are rocking the boat.

Tea for two, three…four
7th July 2010

With only a few weeks to go it’s all about:
Teapots full of earl grey.
Eating terribly naff cakes – fake cherry bakewells feature.
Perfecting a duck walk. Not far to look to muse…
Sourcing lovely cards from an old friend. Finding well loved goodies to herald a home for three.
And plotting a darling friends wedding….
Got to ask, a florists fave, what is it with turquoise?

Jazz for Jasmine
2nd July 2010

And Gorgeousness for a Guiness.
Other news, boy mixing some lovely music for a friends wedding, loving this song, (oui et zut, predictable), indulging my Petit Bateau fetish, a sweet picture book for Captain and baby girls, baby girls seem to be rocking friend wise this week.

Sweetpeas and suitcases
30th June 2010

Baby, not blooms today. My midwife has told me to have my bags packed and ready for the hospital…this has caused a reality check on the boat, features piles of pretty, heavy breathing, fairy lights, a lavender spritzer and a secret stash of drugs…
Nope I have not been watching One Born Every Minute but Mr Kipling slices, Zoe Williams telling it how it is, garden fete mysteries…smallable sweetness and the plan of a birthing pool swimming with sweetpeas feature highly. Squeak!
